Find the Difference

Two pictures look the same at first glance — but a few things have changed.

⏱ 5 minutes 👀 Visual memory & attention 👥 1 adult + 1 child

What you'll need

  • 🖥️
Or play online — tap the differences on screen
  • 🖨️
    Optional: printable picture pages
  • ✏️
Optional: a pencil, so your child can circle differences (print version)

How to play

  1. Cover the answer key at the bottom of the page with a sheet of paper (that part is just for you).
  2. Show your child both pictures side by side and say: "These two pictures look the same, but 4 little things are different. Can you find them?"
  3. Let them look freely — point, circle, or just say what they've spotted out loud.
  4. Give a gentle hint if they get stuck, like naming which row to look in.
  5. Check off each difference together as they find it, using the answer key.
  6. Move to the second scene once all 4 are found, or stop there — either is a win.

🎛️ Adjusting the difficulty

🟢
Make it easier: tell your child how many differences are left to find, or point to the correct row and ask them to search just there.
🔴
Make it harder: set a gentle timer, or ask them to name what changed rather than just pointing (e.g. "the window became a door").
